Chandratal Lake in Himachal Pradesh is claimed as the world’s most beautiful lake. Literally, Chandra stands for Moon and Taal means Lake. The lake is considered holy among the Hindus. It is situated in the Lahaul, Spiti District, Himachal Pradesh. Perched at an altitude of 4,300 mt.
Earlier the lake used as a halting place for traders who went to Spiti and the Kullu valley from Tibet and Ladakh. Now it attracts a large number of adventure lovers.
