Sessa Orchid Sanctuary is a paradise for nature lovers and adventure junkies. It houses varied variety and vivid orchids. The sanctuary is a protected area located in West Kameng District, Arunachal Pradesh. Sessa is part of the Kameng protected area complex, the largest adjoining closed-canopy forest area of Arunachal Pradesh, which includes Sessa, Eaglenest, Pakke, Nameri, and Sonai Rupai sanctuaries.
The exceptional feature of the sanctuary is an abode for over 200 orchid species which includes indigenous and endemic species. Moreover, Sessa Orchid Sanctuary landscape encompassed with deep valleys, gorges, rugged terrain, majestic mountains ranging between 6000m and 3076 m and rich vegetation of tropical and alpine.
